A rare and highly collectible piece of Chanel costume jewelry coming from their 1993 Fall / Winter collection, this vintage Maltese Cross necklace is a very substantial piece.
Uncommon and exceptional, the cross is made of faceted crystal quartz that has been set in gold and features Gripoix detailing. The technique of making poured glass Gripoix stones is incredibly difficult and is becoming a LOST ART.
This pendant features such stones in shades of red, yellow, pink, orange, green and turquoise blue and is in immaculate vintage condition. The chain necklace is 20" (51cm) long and the pendant is 3 3/4" (9,5cm) long, 3" (7,6cm) wide, 3/4" (1,8cm) thick and is signed and dated CHANEL 93A.
