Description

A most impressive and also magnificent vintage Chanel brooch from 1980’s, depicting an Edelweiss, most famous European Alpine flower. 

32 peg-shaped baroque pearls by Gripoix, all together composed into a magnificent bloom. This dramatic shape measures approx. 3-1/2" (9cm) in diameter.  

The pearl petals are set into small holes at a round base, which show some amount of verdigris. However, this does not detract of the perfect overall design, because the perforated surface is fully covered by the petals.

The silver tone stem and leaves are studded with clear, sparkling, glamorous and sophisticated crystals.

This brooch STANDS OUT and is an incredible eye-catching and very rare piece, as it shows a most beautiful combination of all the creative talents Chanel is famous for.

This exceptional CHANEL masterpiece is a large size, measuring 5-1/2" by 3-1/2" (14cm x 9cm). 

The back of the brooch is double signed as follows: CHANEL Made in France.  

Since this brooch has been rarely worn, it is still in very good overall condition. Some minor normal wear, as described above, which is hardly noticeable when worn - it clearly is in good shape!
